ROPE ACCESS BASICS

Designed for introduce new potential candidates for working at heights, allowing a safe environment to understand the requirements and demands of rope access work. This course is ideal for companies looking to develop a rope access team or a company looking to recruit new team members with ZERO experience . This 1 day intro course allows the company to see who is capable of working safely at heights and for the instructors to assess the next level of training required to move forward. This course is highly practical; and is priced low to help companies determine which men are ready to receive a more in-depth education in Rope Access ,without the cost of a full course.

JOB SPECIFIC ROPE ACCESS SKILLS

Basic rigging, Anchors, Pulleys, equipment selection and use, descending and ascending, equipment care and inspection, basic knot craft. This course also comes with a certificate of competency to work safely in a rope access team under a supervisor for the job specific task. Valid for 2 years. NOTE: if participants are not at the recommended competency by the end of the course, and additional day per man will be required before certificate will be given. Personal equipment is required for each man. Team equipment will be provided. Rental is available at request, 15% discount on equipment purchases with this course

ROPE ACCESS LEVEL 1

This 5 day class covering the basic skills required to safely conduct rope access work for Rope Access Competency Certificate plus 1 day exam for ARS Level 1 certification. This course concentrates heavily on building anchors, assessing hazards (safe and unsafe situations), knot craft, equipment selection and use, basic rope access skills and maneuvers. Designed to develop required team skills for rigging and executing work. This course can be conducted at a jobsite such as a building, please note: actual work is not a priority in this course, but practice on executing work skills such as window cleaning may be practiced on request. By the end of the course the participant will be competent to work safely under the supervision of a rope access supervisor. Requires a classroom setting for the classroom time, and setting for the practical. Requires English translator. Recommended 1 management (no charge) present to learn and understand what the workers are learning and how to enforce what they have learned.

Equipment All courses requires personal equipment for each man (rope access kit) (not included). Participant/ company shall supply his own kit. (up to 30% discount off purchase form ARS) for bulk orders. Please allow up to 30 days for large purchases. Men should train on the equipment they will be using in the field. Team equipment such as ropes, pulleys, carabiners, anchorage is provided by ARS (included). RECOMMENDED company provides equipment the men will be working with on site. Equipment provided by participant/ company shall undergo an inspection before the course. Equipment passing inspection will be allowed for use in the course.
